Growing up, I had the best relationship with my parents; they always supported my dreams and let me try everything I wanted in order to test my feet in the waters and see what I thought. They provided me with everything a kid could want and more; I couldn't have this journey without them, and I am grateful that they provided me with a fantastic childhood.

During my younger years, I started to get into sports (especially swimming) and art. My parents always came to my meets, and we often went for ice cream afterward. During this time, I began to form my ever-changing dreams of what I wanted to be when I grew up. I thought I wanted to be a teacher, a musketeer. (after watching Barbie), a veterinarian, and even going into the Coast Guard. Even though my idea of what I want to be still changed to this day, I am grateful to have had a family that supported even my wildest dreams.

Now it was time to pick a college and decide what I wanted to do for the rest of my life- daunting, I know. However, my best friend lived in the city, and I wanted to tour the campus because we thought going to college together would be fun. I was also touring other colleges, but I decided to schedule a visit and see what happened. Stepping foot onto the campus was all I needed to know: that was the college for me.

Declaring my major was the harder decision; however, my Career Tech in high school made me realize I wanted to be an artist. Fine Arts, the university has a fantastic DAAP Program, and I am so thankful for my academic and personal journey at UC. I couldn't have had a better college experience, and I am so grateful to my friends and family for making it all possible. Thank you.

I was proud to be a part of one of the university's many sororities. There, I formed bonds stronger than friends and found a true family that made me feel comfortable and accepted. I thank this sorority for providing me with many sleepless nights laughing, my fun-filled memories, and providing me with a college experience I'll never forget.

At the university, I had the privilege of being a part of a sorority, a volleyball club team, and swimming! I am incredibly grateful that I participated in these clubs because it gave me a fun outlet after a long day of studying, homework, and classes. I was lucky to participate with a small group of friends; however, I met many people throughout my time and made many more friends!

If you can or want to, I would always recommend you join a club that best fits you!

I dedicated a bench on campus to Professor John-David Richardson, the university's most exceptional professor, to honor his profound impact. His genuine care, willingness to listen, and dedication to student success have shaped my academic journey and inspired my confidence in art and business. This bench symbolizes the gratitude and inspiration from his influence, offering future students a place to reflect on those who positively impact their lives. Professor Richardson's remarkable contributions to our community deserve this lasting recognition.

Another fantastic thing the university does to help families during this time is to provide tons of events for families with a student! I still remember Family Weekend was a blast having my parents and other friends' parents/families there as well!
