New Ulm is the OG when it comes to Shopping Openers! While some are out deer hunting, shoppers will be hunting for great finds throughout New Ulm during this longtime holiday shopping tradition.

The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce invites local businesses to join us for Shopping Opener Weekend, November 6–8!

Participating businesses are encouraged to offer a special promotion, open house, giveaway, activity, treat, or other fun reason for shoppers to stop in. This event plays off the theme of "hunting" but your participation can be as simple or creative as you'd like. An activity is NOT required to participate though any participating business that includes an activity will get the activity advertised.

Participation Fee:

$25 – Chamber Members

$50 – Non-Members

The Chamber will promote Shopping Opener as a community-wide shopping weekend and include participating businesses in event advertising and promotional materials.
