⛄ Calhoun's Most Creative Competition Returns This December! ⛄

Now in its fourth year, the Snowman Spectacular is Calhoun-Gordon County's community-wide snowman building competition, presented by Explore Calhoun-Gordon County in partnership with the City of Calhoun Recreation Department. No snow required, just creativity, community spirit, and a whole lot of fun.

Businesses, organizations, schools, churches, families, clubs, and government agencies are all invited to build a one-of-a-kind snowman using weather-resistant materials and put it on display for the entire community to enjoy. Your creation will be showcased along the paved path at the Calhoun Recreation Department, where visitors will stroll, admire every entry, and cast their votes for their favorites.

Location: Calhoun Recreation Department, 110 Recreation Drive, Calhoun

Two sets of prizes are up for grabs: the People's Choice Award (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place determined by public votes) and the Judges' Choice Award (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place evaluated by a panel of outside volunteer judges based on creativity and overall appeal).

The Snowman Spectacular kicks off in style with Frosty Fest Launch Party on Friday, December 4, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., featuring food trucks, carnival-style games, train rides, festive “snow,” a human snow globe, Santa's Workshop, live entertainment, a snow play area, and the grand unveiling of this year's snowman creations. Best of all, every registered Snowman Builder is invited to participate in Frosty Fest as a vendor with the vendor fee waived.
