Help Illuminate Arcata This Holiday Season

For decades, the Arcata Chamber of Commerce has proudly illuminated the Arcata Plaza each holiday season, creating a welcoming gathering place that brings our community together and encourages residents and visitors to shop, dine, and celebrate locally.

In 2026, we’re excited to expand this beloved tradition by introducing a Season of Wonder & Light that begins in October with a festive display of orange and purple lighting, transforming the Plaza into a lively celebration of the spooky season. As autumn gives way to the holidays, the lighting will transition into the classic twinkling display that has become a cherished part of Arcata’s winter tradition, continuing through mid-January.

This expanded season will provide a beautiful backdrop for some of Arcata’s favorite community celebrations, including:

• Halloween on the Plaza, Saturday, October 31st
• Holiday Open House Sip & Shop, Saturday, November 14th
• Season of Wonder & Light Celebration on the Plaza featuring Santa, Friday, December 11th
