Every Labor Day weekend, the ducks take over North Woodstock! Nearly 1,500 rubber ducks gather at Cascade Park before embarking on an exciting journey down the scenic Pemigewasset River in the Western White Mountains Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Rubber Ducky Regatta.

From speediest duck to slowest floater—and even awards for the best duck names—there are plenty of chances to win. Best of all, you do not need to be present to claim your prize!

This beloved family-friendly event features free entertainment, face painting, crafts, games, and plenty of fun leading up to the big race. When it’s time, 1,500 ducks will be launched into the river, where they’ll navigate rocks, currents, and natural waterslides in hopes of crossing the finish line first… or last! Spectators of all ages are invited to cheer from the riverbanks—or even wade into the water to help a duck that finds itself stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Duck adoptions are just $6 for one duck, if you purchase 4 ducks, the 5th one is FREE. Ducks can be adopted online, at the Chamber office leading up to Labor Day weekend, or in person at Cascade Park on race day.

Most importantly, proceeds from the Rubber Ducky Regatta support the Chamber Scholarship Fund, helping provide educational opportunities for graduating students from Lin-Wood High School. By adopting a duck, you’re not only joining in on the fun—you’re investing in the future of our community.
