🎄 Light Up Loveland: The Griswold Christmas Light Contest 🎄

Loveland is turning up the holiday voltage, and we want YOUR home or business to be part of it. If you've ever dreamed of going full Clark Griswold, this is your moment. The City is officially challenging residents and businesses to out-decorate, out-sparkle, and out-festive each other in the most gloriously over-the-top holiday light contest Loveland has ever seen.

Whether you're a resident who strings lights from the rooftop to the mailbox or a business that transforms your storefront into a winter wonderland, this contest is for you. Both categories will be judged separately, and prizes will be awarded in each, so everyone has a shot at holiday glory.

How It Works:

Register your display, go all out with your decorations, and let the judges do the rest. Judging takes place during the week of November 29, 2026, with winners announced at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 5, 2026, right before the tree is lit. It's the most festive reveal in town.

Want your display on the community light tour map? When you register, you'll have the option to include your address on the public route so neighbors and visitors can drive by and soak in the holiday magic. Prefer to keep it just between you and the judges? You can opt out of the public listing, no problem.

The Prizes: For residents, you’ll be enrolled in the Jelly of the Month Club. It’s the gift that keeps on giving the whole year. Oh, and there will be other prizes that are more useful. For our business winner, you’ll get an illustrious, illuminated sign declaring your victory and yes, something more useful for you too. Runners-up…don’t fret, you’ll get something less spectacular but coveted all the same.

The Not-So-Fine Print: Please use caution if using a staple gun while on a ladder, and no harm is to come to any plastic Santas in the making of these displays.
