Tybee Island Main Street is an accredited National Main Street community dedicated to strengthening our local economy while preserving the unique character, history, and culture of our barrier island. As a program of the City of Tybee Island, we focus on economic development through the lens of historic preservation, ensuring that growth and progress remain balanced with the community's heritage.

Through collaboration with local businesses, residents, community organizations, elected officials, and city staff, Tybee Island Main Street works to enhance the quality of life for those who live, work, and visit our island. Our efforts support vibrant commercial districts, community beautification, small business development, historic preservation initiatives, and events that celebrate the spirit of Tybee Island.
