Join one of Holly’s most beloved annual traditions as the 2026 Holly Days Parade celebrates a truly historic occasion—the 250th Anniversary of American Independence. Community organizations, businesses, schools, nonprofits, civic groups, clubs, families, and residents are invited to participate in a special parade experience that honors the people, moments, innovations, and milestones that shaped our nation over the last two and a half centuries.

This year’s featured theme, “Moments in History,” challenges parade participants to bring history to life by decorating their float, vehicle, walking group, or display to represent a significant era, event, achievement, or cultural milestone from America's 250-year journey. From the signing of the Declaration of Independence and westward expansion to the Industrial Revolution, civil rights movement, space exploration, military service, hometown history, or modern American achievements, participants are encouraged to showcase a moment that helped define our nation's story.

As thousands of spectators line the parade route, participants will have the opportunity to educate, entertain, and inspire the community while competing for cash prizes. Floats will be judged during the parade based on creativity, historical representation, visual impact, theme execution, and overall presentation.

Best Historical Float – 1st Place ($500)

All themed floats will be judged during the parade. Judges will evaluate historical relevance, originality, visual presentation, community spirit, and overall adherence to the "Moments in History" theme.
