Light Up the Night, Register to Join the Parade!

Join us for the annual Philomath Parade of Lights! Watch as illuminated floats, local businesses, and community organizations brighten the streets of Philomath in a celebration of community spirit.

Established by the City of Philomath in 2023, the Parade of Lights brings our community together while celebrating the businesses and organizations that make Philomath a wonderful place to live, work, learn, and play.

Whether you're participating in the parade or cheering from the sidelines, we invite you to be part of this community tradition!

Spectators

Spectators are invited to bring chairs and umbrellas and line the streets to watch the parade. Rain or no rain, the parade will go on!

Parade Route

The parade will begin at the Philomath High School parking lot and follow this route:

1. Travel west on Applegate Street.
2. Turn left onto 15th Street, heading south.
3. Turn right onto Cedar Street, heading west.
4. Finish at 13th Street, where parade entries will proceed to their designated exit locations.

Participating floats may exit through the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo grounds, travel north on 13th Street toward the highway, or travel south on 13th Street toward Chapel Drive and return to the middle school.

Important: Parade participants may not stop to unload passengers until they reach the rodeo grounds or return to the middle school parking lot.

Be Part of the Parade!

Calling all local businesses, community organizations, and creative float builders! Showcase your organization, celebrate the season, and help light up Philomath with a decorated parade entry.

Registration is required for all parade entries by 4:00 PM the day of the parade.

To register, you will need your contact information as well as the driver’s license number and insurance information for anyone driving a vehicle. Horse entries are also allowed with appropriate liability insurance.

Float check-in will take place from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM the day of the parade at the Middle School’s Chapel Drive entrance.

Mayor McMorran will select the "Most Lit" entry to receive the Mayor's Choice Award from all entries in place at 6:00 PM. Be creative and showcase your business or organization with lights, lights, and more lights!
