Holidays in Port Townsend is a season filled with lights, laughter, and community connection—and volunteers help bring the magic to life. Festivities take place over several days throughout the holiday season, with the main celebration being Mega Merriment on December 5th.

Volunteers support a variety of roles, from helping with kids’ craft activities to assisting with crowd control during Santa visits, and helping guide and walk with the parade to and from the community tree lighting. Whether you’re lending a hand for an hour or joining us for the big day, your time helps create a safe, joyful, and memorable holiday experience for families and visitors.

Festive attire is strongly encouraged—ugly sweaters, Santa hats, elf costumes, and holiday sparkle welcome!
