Shop Small. Support Local. Celebrate Alamogordo!

Calling all local businesses! Join us for Small Business Saturday 2026 as we come together to encourage our community to shop local, discover amazing businesses, and kick off the holiday shopping season!

The City of Alamogordo, Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce, Alamogordo MainStreet, and the Small Business Development Center at NMSU Alamogordo are teaming up to make this a community-wide celebration of our local businesses.

Whether you have a storefront or operate a home-based business, we invite you to be part of the fun!

Why Participate?

By registering, your business will receive:

• Community-Wide Promotion: Be included in event marketing and advertising encouraging shoppers to support local businesses.
• Business Map Listing: Your business will be featured on the official Small Business Saturday shopping map, helping customers find participating locations.
• Shopper Cash-Prize Giveaway: Encourage customers to shop at your business for a chance to enter our cash-prize drawing with a qualifying purchase.
• Gingy the Gingerbread Man: Request a promotional photo opportunity with Gingy before the event to help showcase your business!
• Community Connection: Join other local businesses in celebrating and strengthening our local economy.

Registration Information

• Registration Fee: $50 per business
• Registration Deadline: November 6, 2026
• Event Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026
• Availability: Limited to approximately 60 businesses

Registration fees will primarily support community-wide event promotion and targeted advertising to bring shoppers to participating businesses.

Business Participation Requirements

All participating businesses must:

• Be open for business on Saturday, November 28.
• Offer a special sale, promotion, or exclusive offer for Small Business Saturday.
• Help promote the event through their social media channels.
• Provide the event QR code to customers after a qualifying purchase so they can enter the cash-prize giveaway.
• Provide accurate business information for the official shopping map.

Shopper Cash-Prize Giveaway

Customers who make a qualifying purchase at a participating business will receive access to a special QR code to enter our cash-prize drawing by submitting a photo of their receipt.

The drawing is planned for Monday, November 30, at 3:30 PM, live on Facebook from the Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce.

Prize amounts will be announced after registration closes.

Gingy Is Back!

Our favorite gingerbread man is returning to spread holiday cheer!

Businesses interested in having Gingy visit for a promotional photo opportunity before Small Business Saturday can request an appointment during registration. These photos will help highlight participating businesses leading up to the event.
