Valve Cover Races - Registration
About the Campaign
This isn’t your average race—it’s a showdown of creativity, engineering, and pure gravity.
These machines are gravity-powered, custom-built racers crafted from real engine valve covers. Often called valve cover racers, gravity racers, or even “Pinewood Derby cars on steroids,” they combine automotive flair with precision design for a one-of-a-kind competition.
Rules:
- Single-elimination bracket format
- Maximum weight: 10 lbs
- Maximum length: 26 inches (front to rear axle)
- No engines. No fuel. Just gravity and skill
- Must be built from actual engine valve covers
- Equipped with wheels, axles, and fine-tuned for maximum speed
It’s all about design, balance, and the thrill of the race—where the fastest build wins.
