Minden Main Street is proud to host a once-in-a-generation celebration honoring America’s 250th Anniversary and Minden’s 190th Birthday. This community-wide event will bring together residents, families, businesses, and visitors for a full lineup of patriotic and hometown experiences—from parades and races to competitions, live entertainment, and fireworks.

This celebration brings Main Street to life with a full lineup of community-driven events, including a Kids Patriotic Parade, 5K Run on Main, Cornhole Tournament, Grilling on Main People’s Choice competition, Little Grillers youth contest, and a variety of interactive contests like watermelon spitting and hotdog eating. Families can enjoy a dedicated Kids Play Area with inflatables and activities, while attendees experience live entertainment, route activations with music and treats, post-race refreshments, and a spectacular fireworks finale. Each element is designed to create energy throughout downtown, draw visitors, and deliver memorable experiences for all ages.
