Support the Youth Fishing Derby – Help Us Reel in Success!

The NJ Division of Wildlife; Hooked on Fishin'-Not on Drugs and the West Long Branch Recreation Commission are thrilled to host their 10th annual Youth Fishing Derby at Franklin Lake on Saturday, June 7! This exciting event provides young anglers up to 16 years of age the opportunity to experience the joy of fishing, friendly competition, and community spirit—all at no cost to participants!

We are seeking community support and donations to help make this event a success. Your generous contributions will go toward tournament supplies, prizes, food, and ensuring a memorable experience for our young fishers.

If you would like to donate any fishing gear (poles, tackle box, etc.) or gift cards to local eateries, they can be dropped off at the WLB Boro Hall, attention Debbie Ronan.

9:00 am - 9:30 am: Registration at the WLB Rec Trailer at the Franklin Lake Gazebo

9:30 am - 11:30 am: Tournament

11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Pizza

12:00 noon: Prizes awarded
