Light Up Granite Falls 2026 is just around the corner, and we want YOUR classroom to be part of the magic! This is an awesome chance to bring your students together, show off their creativity, and brighten up Granite Falls in the most fun way possible! Get your students excited and join us for an unforgettable time as we Light Up Granite Falls!

What is Light Up Granite Falls?

If you’re new to the event, here’s a quick look at the magic behind Light Up Granite Falls!

Each Christmas season, local schools and businesses team up to turn Granite Falls into a holiday wonderland by decorating the streets with stunning Christmas trees. Sponsored by local businesses and creatively decorated by students, the trees reflect a new theme every year, giving plenty of room for imagination to shine! And the best part? The trees are provided FREE to classrooms!

Your mission: Have your tree decorated and ready to dazzle by 5:00 PM on November 23rd for the Festival on the Square Tree Lighting! People come from near and far to admire these trees, so bring your A-game! Make sure your decorations are sturdy and weatherproof to withstand the elements.

Want to join in the holiday fun? Trees are available on a first come, first served basis! We have 28 trees ready to be transformed, so don’t miss out.

Decorating Dates & Event Times:

Granite Falls will be full of community spirit on November 23rd as we kick off decorating from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Please ensure that no one works on the tree before 3:30 PM. There will still be cars in the area, and we must prioritize safety! Then, stick around for the Festival on the Square Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6:15 to 7:30 PM!

Judging Time!

This is where the magic really happens! Your tree will be judged on imagination, creativity, skill, and how well it matches the year’s theme. But here’s the exciting part—cash prizes are up for grabs for the top classes!

Want to stand out? Handmade, original decorations will earn you extra points over store-bought ornaments. So, get those creative juices flowing, and let your class shine with one-of-a-kind decorations that make your tree unforgettable!

Business Sponsor Sign:

To show appreciation and recognize the business sponsoring your tree, you must create a sign to highlight your sponsor. The sign should be at least 4"x 8", printed in large, bold letters, and laminated. It should say something like the example below. Make sure the sign is placed at the TOP of the tree in a visible spot—please avoid placing it on the bucket, as it won’t be easily seen. You’ll receive the sponsorship details once all sponsors are assigned. Thanks for helping us celebrate our local business!
