About the Campaign
The Bastrop Bird Junction Sculpture Walking Tour celebrates Bastrop’s identity as a Bird City -Bird City Texas Certified Communities in 2020 by Texas Parks and Wildlife and Audubon Texas. While enhancing tourism and cultural arts in the community. This public art initiative transforms the area into an engaging outdoor gallery, where visitors can experience a curated collection of bird sculptures. Each installation highlights the story of the bird, the vision of the artist, and the generosity of the donor, creating a rich and memorable experience.
The City of Bastrop, in partnership with the the Lost Pines Art Center, continues to expand the Bird Junction Sculpture Program as a way to celebrate public art, honor community heritage and enhance the cultural vibrancy of Downtown Bastrop.
The Bird Junction Sculpture Program is financed through hotel occupancy tax funds, citizen donations and grants
