Keep Smithville Beautiful presents the 2026 Sustainable Home & Garden Show — a free, family-friendly Smithville tradition since 2011!

This year's theme is "Partnering to Keep the Colorado River Clean." No registration required — all are welcome!

Any funds raised beyond event costs directly support KSB's ongoing programs, including beautification and litter cleanups, hazardous waste drop-off events, environmental education outreach, and public art activities for kids.

🏆 FEATURED INITIATIVES

♻️ Plastic Collection Challenge — Smithville ISD students collect and recycle plastic bottles to keep them out of the Colorado River, competing for cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100.

🎨 Waste to Wonder Recycled Art Contest — Students from each of Smithville ISD's 4 schools transform recycled materials into original works of art, competing for cash awards of $50 and $25 per school.

🌱 Sustainable Living Education Forum — Expert-led presentations, interactive demos, and hands-on activities for adults and kids connecting residents and visitors with local guidance on sustainable practices for home, garden, business, and community.

💚 IN-KIND DONATIONS WELCOME

In addition to cash sponsorships, we welcome in-kind donations that support our students and event:

🏆 Awards & Prizes — Cash equivalents, gift cards, or items to supplement student competition prizes

📚 Education — Native plants, seeds, gardening supplies, environmental books, or demonstration materials

🍎 Refreshments — Water, snacks, or food for volunteers, students, and event staff
