This mural is one of a kind here in our city. Installed by one of our city's entryways, this mural will act as a welcoming sign to our community members and visitors. Giving them an insight of what the city has to offer and is made of. 

The collage style is perfect to represent what we were looking for. Local artist Hector Vega made an incredible job capturing all the elements that are in our city. 

We are truly proud of the results - and to think this is just the beginning to something bigger!

“Hector did a great job listening to the City Club, as well as myself and City Council, when getting input on the elements of our community that we wanted to memorialize,” the mayor said.

Celebrated artist-entrepreneur Hector Vega was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. A self-taught artist, his signature style—featuring bold colors and geometric patterns—is influenced by his cultural heritage.

First opened in 1969, the Public Library moved into a new building in 2018, which features public meeting rooms, a special sensory friendly children’s area, quiet study rooms and a full-service drive-up window.

Our Recreation Department offers many seasonal programs to sign-up for along with a series of special events and concerts to attend throughout the year!

Our community offers a variety of restaurants for everyone to enjoy. 

We strive with great passion to continue bringing our community new public experiences. This mural marks a milestone for us as a community, as we understand that new amenities and experiences are wanted. We'll continue to work hard along side our community and together we'll make of our city a place to remember.

This shopping center has existed since the 1950's, now we envisions the area transformed into a 21st century destination.

Mixed-use development could include new residential units, as well as retail, dining and commercial establishments.
